Dear Fellow Ecuadorian Coin Collector, I am not a dealer, but a collector like you. After 30 years of collecting Ecuadorian coins, I have concluded that much information that could benefit the collector concerning RARITIES, TYPES, VARIETIES, COUNTERFEITS and MINTAGES is unavailable. Now that I am retired, I can devote myself to researching these areas of interest and making that information available. However, to be successful I will need your help in locating UNIQUE, RARE, or SCARCE coins. I am interested in all Ecuadorian issues from the Real to the Decimal system, including all gold coins and pattern issues. The names of all who contribute will be held in strict confidentiality. Some coins are still not confirmed. For many, no mintage is recorded. Information on types and varieties is incomplete. Pedigrees have been overlooked or omitted from auction catalogs, obscuring the number and condition of specimens actually in extant. As you can see, I have a big undertaking ahead of me. Your help is essential, no matter how small it may seem. Many small pieces will help complete the big puzzle. Once I have enough input from my fellow collectors and all information is confirmed, I will make this information available to anyone who provided input for our research.
