I have been curious for the past 20 years about the history and background of the name the city and myself bear. I also wanted to know of any other people bearing the fabulous name. Thanks for replying so fast. I live in Rockford, IL. I am a junior at Bradley University, Peoria, IL, and I'm studying Math/Secondary Education. At school, I hold a position as an Assistant Hall Director of one of the residence hall. I'm also heavily involved in Campus Crusade for Christ. I have one sister, Nikki. She is a freshman at Judson College in Elgin, IL. My dad was on a wheat harvesting trip in the summer of '77. The group stopped in Chadron, NE during that time. He thought Chadron was a really pretty place, so he decided to name his first daughter, Chadron. My mom convinced him to change the spelling to Chadren to make it more feminine.
