Hi. I'm a 1972 graduate of CHS. Presently I live in Washington state and am working in an injection molding plant as their one and only maintenance technician. I retired out of the navy about 5 years ago after serving 21 years. I don't miss it. I have managed to see a lot of the world and am proud to say that I came from Chadron. I am married and have four children. Myrna, Misty, Clarence and April. They range in age from 15 to 9 years. The wifes name is Mercedes and we have been married now for close to 19 years. Anyone from Chadron I would like to hear from you. Catch ya on the flip side. Don.

What a surprise to find you on the internet. I only happened to see Chadron, and found you!
I'm Dick Eisenhauer. I was School Superintendent in Chadron from 1979 - 1983. My two sons, Mike and Matt graduated from CHS, and my wife Ardith got both her B.A. and M.A. from CSC while we were there. Melissa was in Elementary School at East Ward and then the Middle School.
After Chadron the boys were off to UNL and Ardith, Mel, and I were in Roseburg, Oregon for ten years. Mel also went off to UNL and graduated from there as well. Roseburg for me was followed by three years as Superintendent in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and I an now in my third year as Superintendent in Marysville, Washington. Ardith is starting up an alternative High School program for neighboring District.
Mike is an Army Cardiologist at Brook Army Hospital in San Antonio. Married, and with one son. Matt is Director of Instrumental Music at Newport High School in Bellevue, Washington. Married, with three kids. Melissa is in Charlotte, North Carolina after graduation.

Rumor has it.. that Steve Welsh is a manager for Office Depot in Dallas Texas, he graduated from Chadron high school 1979 (oldest of the five Welsh kids). He graduated CSC 1986, alumni Phi Sigma Epsilon. Worked for Duckwall/ALCO for 8 yrs, as assistant manager and then store manger, then in 1994 joined Office Depot. He and his wife Kathleen (Craig) graduated CSC 1986 Alpha Xi Delta Alumi, have lived in Lamesa, TX, Gunnison CO, Riverton WY, West Point NE, Fremont NE, Tucumcari NM, Lubbock TX and now Dallas TX.. they really get around.
We miss those wonderful nachoes at Common Cents in Chadron.

I have been enjoying the site, and wanted to give an update on my e-mail address. (This is Mary [Schlickbernd] Ryan, Chadron class of '86, etc., etc.) My new e-mail address is marymurtz@aol.com. I have heard from some other Chadron alumni, and it's great to find out where people are, what they are doing, and how their lives have turned out! I would love to hear from others I knew in high school; I was in Chadron for Fur Trade Days and saw Julie Roberts and Michele (Van Vleet) Reeves -- a blast from the past!
I live in Lincoln, NE with my husband of 10 years, Phil Ryan (not related to the Chadron Ryans.) I work in management for Cedars Youth Services (formerly Cedars Home for Children, and the largest youth care agency in the state after Boys Town) and my husband is a Communications Supervisor for Rural Metro Medical Services. We have been here for 10 years and love it, except for the humidity!
I hope to see more Chadron people writing in sometime!

I visited the web-site this morning (July 10). It's definitely the next best thing to being there.
jgimpel@bss2.umd.edu is Jim Gimpel, Chadron native with rock solid Chadron credentials: K-12 in Chadron Public Schools. 1981 graduate of CHS. Some relatives still in and around Chadrock.
I currently live in Maryland (since 1990). I am an associate professor of political science at the University of Maryland, College Park - right outside Washington, D.C. ( Ph.D. University of Chicago, 1990.) My third book, _The Congressional Politics of Immigration Reform_, has just been published. So go ask your local bookstores to buy about 40 copies. Make me rich :-)
Speaking of the Schlickbernd family, I graduated high school with Vince. Last I heard (a very long time ago) he was in the U.S. Navy -- David, do you have Vince's e-mail address?
