Susan,
I did some checking and found that it was a rookie officer who was eating sunflower seeds and throwing the shells out the window of his car. he has not been trained or certified as yet. I have been assured that he has been made aware of his violation and will cease eating seeds on duty even though they are natural and biodegradable.
One can only imagine what some people have to do with their spare time to even notice such activity, much less photograph and report it.
Thank you Click here to go to "Police Litter" photo and story. |

Dearest Pumpkin Girl and other rumor mongers,
I really enjoy your site, and much like Mr. Bauerkemper below, I enjoy the gossip, but I havent read any juicy (I prefer this spelling over Steve's juicie) here lately. Please incorporate more unsubstantiated, Enquirer-like tidbits for us long distance Chadronites to enjoy. If you cant come up with any, allow me to assist.......
Is it true that the inventory from Hennesy's will be shipped to the Smithsonian?
Is it true that since Doug Ross left Chadron that the town has become 50% less funny?
Did Mark and Valorie Schlickbernd tinker with the Asian ecomony? Is true that Japan has banned Mark from doing his "Pass the mashed potatoes" Jerry Dishong impersonation?
Thanks for the link back home.

John,
Hi, how are you? Hope that all is well. Wanted to let you know a couple of things. First, I am planning on doing a story on the new NRD building this Friday. Are you interested in participating? I hope so. I need to speak with some unhappy citizens - I don't want the story to be one-sided. Second, I am leaving KDUH. I've been offered a job in Texas. It's a pretty great opportunity. I will be the consumer/investigative reporter for a pretty nice sized station in a mid-sized television market. I am pretty psyched. Anyway, let me know about the story - I'd be happy to meet with you and anybody else at your convenience. Please give my regards to Peggy.

Hi Richie: I have a first hand report that on three occasions, Crawford SWANN protestors were seen using one of the alley dumpsters in Chadron after dark. You add a punch line, Richie. Best from the West, |
