Fried Onion Rings in Batter
-
Flour
-
Milk
-
Paprika
-
Salt
-
Chopped fresh coriander leaves
-
Raw Onion rings (or you might have large pieces of onion instead; or even
sections of spring, green, onions)
For this recipe, I leave the proportions up to you; but the consistency should
be thick enough for the onion rings to be coated and stay coated.
Mix the first five ingredients together well; and then stir in the onion rings.
Fry the coated onion rings in deep hot oil until they are golden brown then eat
immediately.
I developed this recipe by accident after I had made something that I'd dipped
in egg and then coated with the dry ingredients in this recipe. As I had a fair
amount of the dry stuff left, I suddenly realised I could make some batter out
of it; and mixed in some milk. It's so tasty!
