Chicago Style

I'm sure if you live in Knoxville, or have navigated around this site at all you've seen Chicago Style Pizza . I can here everyone whispering what do I care... Chicago style? I couldn't care if it was Naravo-style pizza. This might seem unapparent to you know but the locale of a particular food may mean more to you than you one would think. People do things diffrently in diffrent places. Ever played a simple game like hide-and-go-seek with your cousin who lives across the contient? If you have one would notice that there are small diffrences, that effect the entire feel of the game. The same can be said about Pizza.

One of the first diffrences you will notice from most chain pizza shop's (known as new york style) pizza's is that a Chicago style pizza will put most the toppings under the cheese. The second and third diffrences come to you after you take a bite of a slice. Thicker sauce will introduce you to the toppings that are stacked higher than your average pizza. you will also be aware of a myraid of seasonings and herbs introduced to the pizza's sauce to give an even deeper taste.

Though the true diffrence between Chicago and New York Style pizza's is the way the crust is prepared. Unlike New york crusts that are are flat against the pan, Chicago pizza's a crimped, around the pan, to give the pizza a more circular look and a more developed crust.

Take the test yourself. Order yourself a slice from Stefano's and a slice from a chain shop. Make your choice what region has a better pie.
