Was boasting to Hog, Just down the road
"We frogs have the life", He said with a grin,
"Just hopping around, 'till the day is all in"
Lying on lillypads and zapping our lunches,
and playing with tadpoles, who come in great bunches
Not at all like pigs, who stink to high heaven
And root in their slop from morning till seven
Of all of God's creatures, from here to the sea,
By gum all I want is a frog's life for me!"
Hog looked at frog, and rooted some more
And thought to herself "Gosh, what a bore!"
"And one more thing," added Bernaise,
"We frogs don't have bad hair days"
and off he hopped for his pond cross the highway
singing, of course, "I did it my way"
Later that day Hog spotted Bernaise
Out on the road in an awful place
Boasting no more, not a little, not any
