Retirement Planner is based on a worksheet developed by the American Savings Education Council. It gives you a rough idea of how much you need to save annually for a comfortable retirement. Couples should do this individually.
It assumes that you will become eligible for full Social Security at 65 and assumes that you will get a constant rate of return of three (3) percent after inflation and that you will live to age 87.
It produces a report of the amount you would need to save annually based on the age at which you wish to retire and the number of years before you retire.
If you are a registered user you can print this report or copy it to the clipboard to be pasted into another text based application.
