This Page is created to promote preserve and educate people about an Equine treasure, the Spanish barb mustang from outside of Fillmore Utah. These horses exhibit primitive markings, and true spanish type conformation. Many of these horses are accepted into the Spanish Mustang Registry, and many are accepted into the international Sorraia horse registry. Watch for more info and pictures!
What is a Sulphur mustang?
These Sulphur mustangs are a group of horses 50 miles west of Millford
Utah that exhibit blood titers, conformation, color and size of the true
Spanish
horse. The Sorraia horse and Iberian horse are similar in all characteristics,
and this group of horses makes it exiting for all those registries to add
fresh genes to a shallow pool. Blood typing confirms they are of Spanish
decent.
These horses are compact, tightly muscled horses with beautiful conformation.
They go all day, some have a running walk, they survive the harshest climates
and conditions, and are truly the Legend of the Old West.
