Real Estate purchasing in Hungary
Non-Hungarian Citizens are theoretically allowed to purchase real estate in Hungary under the governmental order 7/96 §1.
Exceptions to the rule:
- agriculture areas
- real estate in outlying districts
- real estate which is located in a national park
The purchase of real estate by Non-Hungarian Citizen in Hungary is permitted by the current Administrative Court of the Province.
The conditions to receive the permission from the Asministrative Court of the Province are:
- legal contract*
- legal financial document showing the exchange of currency
- legal document showing authorization of pass-port
- must receive legal acceptance from local Tax Bureau
- must receive legal acceptance from local Mayor*
- must purchase fee stamps for administrative purposes*
