Dream House® 3D and Talk and Draw Architecthelp users draw, view, and approve construction plans well before the first nail is hammered. With the exception of the voice technology available in Talk & Draw, both products offer the same functionality.

Dream House 3D

Dream House 3D features 50 different home layout plans that can be edited and customized.

The software also featurespoint-and-click 3D fixture and furniture symbols for accurate previews,a Microsoft® Office interface, one-click roof editing, realistic textures for smart design decisions, 3D walk-throughs, easy stairs generation, and the instant creation of a construction materials lists for estimating project costs.

Talk & Draw Architect

Talk & Draw Architect is the voice-enabled version of Dream House 3D, allowing users to voice various commands that activate drawing functions. For example, using Talk & Draw Architect, a user can say the word "walls," and the button that activates that drawing function is enabled. This voice feature is a product of IMSI's VoiceDirect Continuous Gold - a tool to increaseproductivity and reduce reliance on the keyboard and mouse. Using IBM'saward-winning ViaVoice; speech recognition technology, Talk and Draw Architect is able to perform basic voice commands, making it easier and more time-effective for users to electronically draw their remodeling plans.

System Requirements

Dream House 3D requiresa Windows 98/95/NT 4.0, Pentium-compatible 90 Mhz or higher computer with a SVGA monitor, 24 MB RAM (32 MB recommended), and 55MB hard disk space. It also requires a double speed CD ROM drive and a mouse. Talk & Draw Architect requires a Pentium 166 Mhz or 150 Mhz computer with MMX, 32 MB RAM for Windows 95/98, or 48 MB RAM for Windows NT 4.0. The system requires a CD-ROM drive, Sound Blaster 16-bit audio board or IBM Mwave 100 MB hard disk space, and a microphone.
