Roses

The Roses

DO YOU REMEMBER the fragrance of the roses grandmother grew? The old fashioned roses still smell that way and they are very hardy and easy to care for! Every gardener and flower lover should grow a few of the wonderful heirloom roses such as Celisana, Red Rose of Lancaster, Rose Mundi, Blanc Double de Corbert, Harrison's Yellow (the yellow rose of Texas), and the White Rose of York and Quaker WhiteRambler.

We have been growing Roses in Maine for over THIRTY YEARS. In some past years our winter losses have been severe but we learned from this experience. We now know which plants are extra hardy, those that survived. We would be happy to recommend these extra tough roses, shrubs and perennials to you.

The roses will be at peak bloom in late June and early July. Our ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE for rose lovers will be June 13th through July 6th.
