Tropical Fluff Ranch is a 15 acre piece of paradise nestled on the gentle slopes of Kilauea on the Big Island of Hawaii. My Hawaiian name is Leilani and I work full time to care for the animals on the ranch, which include injured, lost or abandoned "rescues" as well as elegant purebreds. We care for the orphans and try to find good homes for them. But, most of them just spend the rest of their days safe within the haven of our ranch. We don't do this for profit...there is no profit in rescue. We do it because we love animals.

We currently share our lives with a variety of dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens. Some are purebred, some are poi (that's Hawaiian for mixed-breed), but we love them all the same. Each one has a unique personality, and an interesting story to tell. You can link to some of their pages below.

Our Business
|
At Tropical Fluff Ranch, we also have a breeding program for our purebred Shetland Sheepdogs (Shelties). Not all the purebreds are breeding stock, of course. We carefully choose sires and dams on the basis of health, and temperament, and the AKC standard. The adorable puppies go to new families when they are 8 weeks old, and are accompanied by a packet of information, health guarantees and a contract. Most of our puppies remain in Hawaii, but we also have one growing up in Korea, and another one in California.
