Why doesn't my text drawing primitive resize?

Text primitives are sized according to the font size. They are the only object which cannot be resized.

 I cannot select a drawing primitive.

Primitives have a flag on them which disallows selection. Either right click over the primitive and select the "Make Selectable" button or activate the Drawing.Selectable.Make All Selectable.

I cannot move a drawing primitive.

Primitives have a flag on them which disallows movement Either right click over the primitive and select the "Make Moveable" button or activate the Drawing.Moveable.Make Selected Moveable.

How do I create my own template?

See the walkthrough in the help documentation. The easy way is to open up a template which is close, change it, and then save it as a .cte file in the templates directory. But, I'd recommend going through the walkthrough to see some of the hidden details to give your label more polish.
