To begin with, it is commonly known that the most strenuous and traumatic function the body regularly performs, is the act of digestion. If a regular meal is consumed then the task is lessened. However, if a large meal is consumed the task for the body is greatly increased; therefore using up a lot of extra energy and, in the process, creating extra stress and anxiety.
Earlier tips have been to avoid additional anxiety of an emotional nature. This self created, compulsive eating anxiety is of both a physical nature, born out of extreme body stresses on all of it's systems. And an emotional nature in that extra anxiety is created in the mind of the compulsive eater or binger. Often combining the two stresses can trigger anxiety induced asthma symptoms.
It is also a well accepted fact that consuming refined sugar induces cravings for more food. These cravings then lead to more unplanned ingestion and consequently to more physical and emotional anxiety. In turn the extra anxiety leads to more anxiety induced asthma symptoms. And the cycle of anxiety induced asthma continues.
Accountability is required to face the issue of compulsive eating induced asthma symptoms. Where does it start, and where does it stop? It is a cycle much like alcoholism, we eat because we are unhappy, then we are unhappy about compulsive eating, so we eat some more. As with any venture, a support group is invaluable in dealing with this type of problem. Share the problem and breathe easier!
