Menu Item - File
The following menu items are listed: Open registry, Open File, Save to
Registry, Save to Registry as, Save to File, Close.
NOTE : The menu items: Open registry, Open File, Save to Registry, Save to
Registry as, Save to File; are grayed out (disabled) if the current
page is not "Windows Options".
Open registry - use this menu item for loading data of a listed user. When you
click this menu item the window "Select User" appears and you need to select a users
name that is listed. If you click the button "OK" user's data loads from the
Registry.
Open File - use this menu item to load data of an individual user. When you click this menu item the window "Select User" appears and you need to select a user.
If you click the "OK" button the user's data loads from a previously saved template
File.
Save to Registry - use this menu item for keeping user's data in Window's Registry
. You need to use this menu item after you have done any or some modifications of
restrictions. To activate any new restrictions you must restart Windows (only if you
modify restrictions for the current user).
Save to Registry as - use this menu item to save the current user's configuration
to another user's profile in Window's Registry. This is very handy when you
want several users to have the same or similar privileges or restrictions.
Save to File - use this menu item for keeping user's data in a template File.
Use this template file in future. For example : if you want to move this user's settings
to another computer or you will plan to reinstall Windows.
Close - use this menu item for closing the configuration program. If the Option "Auto-run"
is set in the configuration window of Windows Security Officer 98
it closes and Windows Security Officer 98 minimizes to an
"Eye" icon in the System Tray Bar; otherwise, Windows Security
Officer 98 exits.
